Incoming artillery from shore batteries off the coast of North Korea straddle the U.S. Navy destroyer and score a direct hit between the officer's ward room and the galley. During the past year of the Korean war, the frequency of hits of the development of Communist artillery has become more evident. U.S. Navy destroyers undergo continuous exchange of fire power. Large ground swells and heavy fighting the Korea War aboard destroyers, minesweepers and generally a small craft penetrating close offshore in North Korea. (Watercolor-aboard the USS MANSFIELD.)
