During my embark on USS Pearl Harbor from NB Pearl Harbor to NB San Diego I happened to come across PO2 Manuel Coppola giving instruction to another seaman from another ship who was augmenting the Pearl Harbor crew for this deployment, on the boatswain’s pipe.
Why I chose this topic:
I heard the whistle of the boatswain’s pipe for several minutes and knew someone was practicing, so I followed the sound to the starboard bridge wing and caught this scene.
