Attached to the marines during the Korean War this Navy doctor was in the Munsan area during the exchange of sick and wounded prisoners. The marines were being hit a night and the casualties running fairly high. His job as a Navy doctor was to care for these men, at the time of the exchange he not only did this, but his skills were used at the receiving lines - a part of operation Little Switch that was essential. For Navy doctors to work around the clock in Korea, was not unusual. To be working in the daytime with what might be considered the aftermath and rehabilitee of war and at night, with its reality, was not only unusual, but exhausting.
