Hit by mortar fragments during the early fighting in Korea, this man recovered from all but a neck wound. When returned with the sick and wounded during operation Little Switch, he was not strong enough to walk. From a litter where he sat, his only thoughts were, "There are still men in those camps who are in tougher shape than I am - somehow I hope you get them all out." He had dad a drain in his neck wound for almost two years, he was in plenty tough shape himself.
