Laurence Brinkman was one of several commercial artists in uniform who produced recruiting posters and other publicity products for the Marine Corps during World War II. This poster features a heroic pilot looking skyward and ready for the consequences of combat with his parachute and life preserver in place. A potential recruit also sees that it takes many more Marines on the ground to keep North American PBJ patrol bombers battle ready.
