About Carnegie Museum of Art:
Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has a collection of more than 35,000 objects across a broad spectrum of the visual arts, with particular strengths in American and European art from the 19th century onward. The museum also houses the Charles "Teenie" Harris Archive of nearly 80,000 photographic negatives. Made in his studio and for the Pittsburgh Courier, the images chronicle Pittsburgh's vibrant black urban community during the Jim Crow and Civil Rights eras. Proceeds from print reproductions support the endowment of an archivist for the Teenie Harris Archive.
