I’ve always thought the second falls I named “The Newport Falls Side Kick" in Mill Creek Park was so pretty and so I suggested this location to the NE Ohio Plein Air group and was thankful several artist friends met on a hot and muggy August day to paint together. Half of us took the steps down to the bottom of Newport Falls and painted along side the West Gulf Hiking Trail while others chose locations nearby. This was the first painting I ever completed on site - thanks to painting on an 8x10 canvas instead of something larger.
