This is a painting of the beautiful East Cohasset Hiking TraiI my husband and I love to hike in Mill Creek Metro Parks that stretches from Youngstown to Boardman, Ohio. I painted this using watercolors on 9x12 yupo paper and loved how the paint glides along its smooth surface. I also painted another trail in the winter - I named it “Cold Feet” for reasons you understand when you see it. Did you know Mill Creek Park is unique for providing hikers the opportunity to walk in the shade while enjoying a variety of water features on at least 90% of its trails? Whether a lake, stream or one of 6 waterfalls, I’m so thankful to live close enough to frequently walk through this amazing park. The wildlife is amazing too! I’ve seen deer, including albino deer, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, otters, and enjoy searching for the 100 different species of birds that have been documented within the park too!
