With the cooperation of the U.S. Marine Corps,The Unbeliever was filmed at the “U.S.M. C. Cantonment at Quantico, Virginia,” in November 1917 and released in theaters on 11 February 1918. Marines who were filmed for the production included Maj Ross Rowell, Maj Thomas Holcomb, Capt Thomas Sterrett, Lt James Rorke, Sgt Percy Webb, and Cpl Bob Ryland.
