The artist writes: “In the shadow of Marble Mountain, a sentry dog lunges against his leash and silently signals to his handler somewhere far out in the darkness the Viet Cong sappers are back for another try at the Navy’s vital ‘Sea Anchor’ transmitter. Six Miles south of Da Nang Run, December 23, 1968.”
